Prisons for vandals and hooligans

In Switzerland, host nation with Austria for Euro 2008, the offenders are mostly foreigners. According to a study conducted two years ago by the University of Bern, between 80 and 90% of inmates who populate its 122 prisons are from other countries.
Accustomed to quiet days and nights, the Swiss, farsighted people, preparing for a frenetic months. Most fans who attend the tournament are peaceful, but the Swiss authorities are afraid of the hooligans that come with certain selections and the criminals who take advantage of any tumultuous event to make their own.
That is why we have decided to enable two buildings as temporary jails. The first is the prison from Schaellenmaetteli old, in Basel, the third largest city in the country.
